If you're a tennis fan, then you probably saw this live last night. Serena was called for a foot fault at 15-30 in the second set. She was also down 5-6 in the second set after already losing the first set to Kim Clijsters. Serena went on an obscenity-laced tirade, and according to sources, this is what she said that caused the line judge to approach the umpire, "If I could I would take this ****ball and shove it down your ***** throat and kill you." I hate that this is how the match ended, but even if the foot fault was a bad call, Serena shouldn't have done what she did.
Like everyone else in the country, I can't get enough of my hometown girl Melanie Oudin. I remember seeing this interview earlier this year at Wimbledon after she took out #1 seed Jelena Jankovic to advance to the round of 16. I don't think any but Melanie thought at that point she would continue her amazing success at the U.S. Open, but she has. Melanie is playing against Caroline Wozniacki in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open tonight. Win or lose Melanie, you've made Marietta and Georgia very proud!
